2000 Black MB S500

Had the opportunity to work on this gorgeous automobile.

Wash
Clay

It had a tremendous amount of water marks do to sprinklers, however, they were not etched.
Also, the entire car was swirled. It is a Daily Driver.

Menzerna FPII - with a meg's polishing Pad x 2-3 passes depending on the area requirements. slightly engaging the head of the PC set on 5. My first use of this product and I was absolutely delighted with it's performance. Smooth, and flawless. So easy to use. Sprayed the pad every so often to keep it from gumming up (it was a hot day mid 70's SoCal Valley Heat). I needed two -three passes to completely remove the swirling. The MB paint simply responded beauuuuuuuutifully!

I attempted to use the Menzerna Intesive Polish just to see what result may bring. It was to aggressive for this application. It was creating unecessary marring. I experienced no marring with the FP II.

AIO - Layered the bottom of the car with AIO and selected points around the contour of the car to create contrasts from the sealent and subsequent waxed areas.

I used PB EX w/ Canuba as the sealent.
LSP = S100.

The owner was absolutely thrilled at the results. He immediately took it for a spin and came back as if he had just purchased the car. That is such a great feeling to see you responsible for a love reborn.

After Menzerna FP II:

Final with LSP:

My goal was to achieve a Liquid Glass Look.

I would like to personally thank Anthony Orosco and Nick Carberry for their input on some questions I had in tackling my first Mercedes.

Nice work! Pics are too small though.

Would you be so kind as to share what you learned from Anthony Orosco and Nick Carberry?

Looks amazing.

I had to find some Bosch wiper blades for somebody with a w220 S500. Cost $105 for the pair. Off topic, but hey.

Thanks.
Basically, Anthony reinforced some thoughts I had regarding using AIO for the wood grain dash. That or a mild cleaner would be fine. He prefers AIO incase some gets on the subsiquent trim it will not stain.
Also, basic mild soap on the chrome rims. nothing harsh.
Lastly, Menzerna for the polish responds very well to the MB's paint.

Hope this helps.
