Corvette show

Today more than 6,000 Corvettes are expected to drive from Bowling Green, KY to Nashville for a huge show all weekend long at the Coliseum here in Nashville. I am planning on checking this out sometime over the weekend.....there should be some fine sleds at this party.

Holy crap! it's cool when you even get that many cars at a car show, it is even cooler if they are all the same ones. I bet there are going to be some BAD a$$ vettes there.

Local news says that 20,000 Corvette enthusiasts from around the globe will be in town this weekend. About 11,000 people in 6,000 'vettes will begin leaving Bowling Green at 8:00 a.m. this morning but they are going to stagger the traffic over a 3 hour period so that I-65 will not be overly congested. There was no venue large enough in Bowling Green at the National Corvette Museum so they will be at the Coliseum all weekend long here in Nashville.

As a sidenote Mustang will celebrate its 40th anniversary next year at the Nashville Superspeedway in April.

Actually, part of them went through Richmond the other day, but only about 100 on the way to Bowling Green

Im pretty sure it was Wednesday morn, the GF was on her way over, and called me up "Hey baby...some "Corvette Racing Team" just passsed me". She said it was 6 corvetes, almost in a swarm, going down Broad street into Goochland with a truck following.

She got here, and I was like "Lets go to Dominion Chevy, im sure theres something going on". We left, but didnt go, caus there was no traffic or anything (so we figured it was just a random thing).

Come to find out, when we left, my step dad calleed me caus his boss told him about it. Big party at the dealership. They left at 9AM to head to Kentucky

I know a group of over 150 cars that are caravaning from the Northeast for this event.
