Who is this woman?
The Jaguar Tips and Tricks Detailing event was held this weekend at the local Jaguar dealership. In a wonderful atmosphere, covered detailing area, professional wash bays and with a $150,000 Aston Martin a few feet away as inspiration, we all had fun detailing our cars. (Even an enemy Porsche snuck in for a buff.)
One Autopian in particular lost her PC virginity and produced some spectacular results on her Jaguar coupe. I bet I know what's on her birthday list!

Hey, hey, it's a lousy picture. You're gonna make me cry!
I'll be adding more pics later when other folks turn them over to me...I have some funny ones of us "detailing" the Aston.

Great pictures. That's an interesting looking backing plate on the PC can you tell me more about it?

hehehe ... yep, that's me with BradB, getting my first instruction with the PC. Wow! In the process of putting the Concours-correct vinyl roof on the coupe and dealing with some little rust spots, the Bubbas had done some seriously awful spray, which needed to be buffed-out. Brad was most patient with me, and we spent over an hour of the session working on those spots. At the end of it, in token of my gratitude, I did what most Autopians would do, bowing to his skills and patience:

Hmm, looks like a Porter-Cable #18002 6" 6-Hole Contour Hook and Loop Pad.
You get one with every 7424 from Coastaltool.com, along with a 6" counterweight.

Ahaahahahaha!!!!
This thread is hillarious!
There's so much to look at in the pics - the cars, the PC work, the massive table of products in the background, the stern look of determination on their faces...... Brad's pale legs... Sorry I couldn't resist!!
By the way, is that a roll of masking tape I see resting on the car....? Just fooling with ya.....

Yes, that's low tack artists tape. The coupe has a beautiful hand painted, two color pinstripe that we are protecting by covering with tape.
BTW, more pics were added today! 6-23
