Re: 2009 Sacramento Autorama...
It was pretty good this year. The past few years have been a little light on nice cars. I was very impressed with how well detailed some of the paint was for a change. Look like they cared how the cars looked, nice to see...

Re: 2009 Sacramento Autorama...
Great photos! I have a stupid question to ask?
Did you do anything special to get your photos to look so good? Or does your camera just take really bright and vibrant pictures?
I got a new camera (sony cybershot--nothing special) and my pictures are not coming out as clean and bright as I want them to be. Don't know if I can do anything to improve quality.
Very sorry to hijack your thread

Re: 2009 Sacramento Autorama...
Matt,
To really help you I would need to know what settings you had the camera at, I would guess that you had it on Auto, am I correct?
I don't like using a tripod in busy places like car shows, and I hate pictures with flash. So I've put myself in quite the dilemma. So I've really tried to work on getting a good clean picture without the aid of those 2 items. Now with that said, I'm far from a pro, so I would have to say the camera I use is the big factor in the pictures I take. I use the Nikon D80 for my shots. When I take these pictures i shoot in Aperture mode. Basically the camera decides all the settings using an Aperture it feels best. Then I adjust the exposure to my taste. For me this gives it the speed I need to take smooth pictures, yet still give it a lot of light for proper exposure.
The best thing I can say is to give me the model number for you camera, let me research the camera some, and then I can give you a better idea how to adjust your setting to make it work best. I know you said Cyber shot, but is there an actual model number or something I can search?

You are correct I had my camera set at Auto. I quickly googled that D80, that is one cool camera. I have a Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-T77. My camera is more of a camera you would put in your pocket. I assume your camera would be something a professional uses. Any help to get better pictures would be appreciated.
