It appears to be a cheap and nasty alarm. Remember, an alarm is only as good as the installation. I stick to DEI branded alarms

For a sub $100 alarm, I wouldn't want to be protecting a car worth more than a $1000.

I'd stick with any DEI brand or Clifford. I had a CompuStar on my old mustang for about 4 years and it was really good. The remote was too big. Ppl would ask me if it was a cellphone.

this guy is dead on. DEI (which now owns clifford) is a winner . . . a tad bit more expensive than others, but when installed by an authorized DEI institution, you get a lifetime warranty on both product and install (except remotes, limitations apply)
