They are easy to install on some cars, hard on others. It all depends on what features it has and how it is connected. Many of the newer units use a tach-less signal and those are 3 or 4 wires to install. I've installed 4 remote start alarms, the easiest one took about 4 hours, the hardest took two days, but both were the same brand model of alarm, just on different cars.
