Need an Ipod car mount

I hardwired my ipod mini and need a mount that meets the following criteria:

1. I want it to mount at the middle or bottom of my center console. I just don't care for the vent mounts (clip type).

2. I would like one that would hold the dock connector so that I could slide the ipod in and out without having to always plug it in.

3. Finally, I don't want to have to screw it in ruining the console.

They probably don't make a mount like this but can someone please guide me in the right direction. If anything I can attempt to modify an existing one. I tried posting on ilounge but it takes a while to get feedback.

Thanks

Brodit do a number of iPod mounts which mate to their "clip-on" mounting system. These mounts don't require drilling. You may also want to look at the PocketDock by SendStation to give you a true line-out from the iPod, rather than using the headphone connector. Seems much more neat than trying to hack something together from a spare dock.

I use the Belkin Car Dock for my iPod, as well as a Sendstation Line Out PocketDock for the audio.
Also, I use the Griffin AirClick remote control, as it comes with a steering wheel mount, so I can control my iPod without taking my eyes off the road.

Good luck! Hardwiring the iPod is definitely the way to go. Don't even bother with the iTrip...

Don't know if you can get them in the US, but Dension do a kit with a dock cable for hidden installations without a mounting cradle.

This link might be more for the hardwiring, but it also might lead to some mounts:
