I have the Kicker Comp Vr 10" subwoofer that you want with a 600w kenwood amp, it is running at two ohms because of the dual 4ohm voice coils. Overall it is a good sub it sounds great with country and rock music, but seems to have trouble with the lower frequencies. I have mine in a ported downfiring box.

Little update...My friend was getting rid of his car and stereo equipment, so I was able to take a lightly used Pioneer DEH-P6300 off of him for only $50...It was only missing the mounting sleeve which I just picked up from a local car stereo shop for $10 + plus a $15 Acura wiring kit adapter. For $75, I'm not complaining

nice setup jdookie...right now i have a stock system...planning on getting a new alpine deck...a/d/s or mb quarts for mids and highs... amps would be a rockford amps(1for mids and 1 for subs) and 1 12s or 2 10s Image Dynamics Subs....those subs rock even harder than the W7

I ve got a simple yet punchy 10" Rockford HX2 DVC in my Subaru.
Its been set into a fibreglass moulded enclosure in the rear.
Look
Its rated at 500w rms but is receiving 900wrms from a Phoenix Gold QX900.1d amp.(runs great with no distortion)
I have a set of 6" comps by Infinity running off a PGold QX180.2
The amps are in the spare wheel well.
HU is Alpine MP3.
Look

I just have the factory Bose system in my Max, with the rears replaced with Cerwin-Vega H.O. 6x9s.
I don't listen to much rap, so when I do, the bass that the speakers put out is plenty for me. I never turn the bass all the way up anyway.

I had a friend with a LOUD system in his Mustang 5.0. He put about $5000 in the system and another $7000+ worth of performance/cosmetic modifications into the car. He had the car disassembled in the autos lab at school for 5 months while he replaced all kinds of engine internals, manifolds, and other stuff.
He drove the car around for the first day in 5 months with his system blaring. He was turning left through an intersection and didn't hear a fire truck and ambulance coming from the side, and he swerved to avoid them and hit a tree, totaling his car.
To me it seemed like one hell of a waste of money. You have to shout over the volume of the stereo, youhave a headache after leaving the car, and most importantly to my friend, you can't hear emergency vehicle sirens.

Right now I am running the factory Monsoon system. In my closet at home I have an Xtant X603 (75x2 and 150x1), a Boston Acoustics 12.5lf (2 ohm model), and a set of CDT CL61a components with the image enhancement kit. I just ordered my power wire kit, and hopefully I'll get a chance to install everything in the next few weeks. Everything will be run off of the factory headunit, and the installation will be as stealth as possible save for the sub because of its airspace requirement.
