New wheels/tires for Fusion

I couldn't resist the HUGE Discount Tire sale. The wheels I ordered were already on clearance, so I got a real good deal. I ordered 17" KMC Hotwheels Redlines wrapped in 225/50 Falken ZE-912s. I've only driven them about 20 miles thus far, but I'm really impressed. I didn't notice a dimished ride vs. the OEM 205/60/16 (T-rated) Contis. Handling is great. It doesn't tamline near as bad as the original tires (lots of grooved freeway around here). In about 10 days, I'll be taking a 1600 mi trip, so I'll learn more then.

While I had the old wheels off, I took advantage and cleaned the fender wells with Purple Power, and dressed them in Stoner Trim Shine.

Pics turned out sort of funky -- since the sun was just rising:

On to the pics:

Also....new e-bay Banner for garage:

Looks good, does anyone make a lowering kit for that car?
A big fan of the black and chrome.

Re: New wheels/tires for Fusion

Thanks.

Yes -- I know Eibach makes lowering springs for it. Many have lowered theirs, but I don't plan to. I'm an old family man If I were to lower it, I probably would have wanted 18s. Many have 20s. I went with 17s due to cost, and winters....

Re: New wheels/tires for Fusion

I currently have the same problem with the nasty wheel gap with my 17's. I also dislike this time of year regardless but especially because I have to take my summer wheels off to drive in the winter. Nice wheels and color though!
