Just looking to see if anyone has any input on them as I am STRONGLY considering buying a local one....

Good cars. Check for waterpump/timing belt service. I think Audiworld.com has a buyers guide. Search over there for more info.

Get a chip too! ;-)

The transmissions are notorious for breaking in these cars from what I've read.

For the price that is an amazing deal compared to what I looked at last night while car shopping...But I too have "heard" they are mechanically something to be weary of

My boss bought one for his son (02 S4) and in 05 the turbo went......$$$$$$$ Nice car though! Also consider getting an A4 1.8T model and adding a chip.....that engine has a lot of potential!!!
