i just read an article on the c63amg in car and driver, and it seems to be the best attempt so far in the last 5-6 years mercedes has mad at the m3. In my opinion i like the amg benz better, and it sure does look sick
The new front fascia is nasty on the C63, it is definitely the closest yet from benz. I think BMW pays off all the car magazines or they're just great cars (probably the latter).

I am an auto guy myself, although there are times when I wish I was 6MT, so the C63 is more my style as well.

The beemer will continue to be measured as the standard for years or excellence.
Can't wait to detail either of these cars.

not exciting?? come on lol.. this thing is an automotive work of art. its motor isnt the exact same as the m5, and its 80lbs less (i think it's a retooled m5 motor if i remember correctly). the suspension is completely reworked, and the car is the benchmark in its class. Every automaker aspires to make a car just as good as the m3, and there has never been a better car that to topple it off its throne

Wow. I want one. That V8 is just intimidating now. I think it would be even better with an aftermarket exhaust though....

No torque? I would say kicking out the *** end whenever it wants means it has plenty of torque. MB and BMW motors are notorious for not having high Torque numbers but the performance of the motor speaks for iteself.

Re: 2008 BMW M3 shredding its tires

I like the looks overall but the acceleration doesn't seem to be any better then the older model. 0-60 in about 4.8s from what iv read. Oh well, at least you get the V8 sound out of it.

Re: 2008 BMW M3 shredding its tires

Is anyone else weirded out by the v8 change and a production bmw turbo engine? I never thought they would make a production turbo honestly. Kind of like the only radio station you listen to changing music styles. Not necessarily bad, but a strange change in the routine.

Re: 2008 BMW M3 shredding its tires

The new M3 is magnificent IMO. Given the competition i think it makes sense to move to a V8. The V8 also weighs less than the previous Inline six.

They will also soon release M DCT. which is a Dual Clutch paddle shift transmission.

Here's another real cool video - it looks sick in Alpine White.

Do you actually know how much torque this car has? 420 hp with only 295 lb/ft of torque. Kind of lopsided. No torque meaning that it should have at least 420 lb/ft. you should read about it more.
