Thanks for all the pics/replies. It looks like I'm gonna go with 35% all around which is the maximum allowable here. I found a couple of tint shops that have been around for 20+ years, so that should probably be the safest bet. Still haven't decided whether to do the 6 inch strip at the top of the windshield or not, can't decide if it's worth it.

Depending on the color of your interior 35% may look somewhat dark or it may still look very light. Like I said in my earlier post, I went with 20% on my truck...I tinted a Maxima with light gray interior at 35% and thought it was too light...so with the truck I went darker and I love it. No problems with the police either!

Decided to go with a UV Blocker for the front. No tint, just UV protection. I think I'm gonna skip the 5" strip.
35% is the legal limit in my state, so I'm most likely gonna go with that all around. I've seen a lot of cars with only the rear side windows and the back tinted, the front side windows left clear. I don't like that look as much but I still have some reservations about visibility with the front side windows tinted. Still, if you're concerned with heat deflection (i.e. summer driving comfort) and privacy it kind of defeats the purpose to leave the driver's window untinted.

I've always preferred the "fade" look of OEM glass. Now, some cars (like mine) don't come with ANYTHING on the top of the windshield at all... just clear glass. It's a little tough sometimes, but its not too big of a hassle to just put down the visor.
If they could put a strip that had the "faded" OEM look, then I might consider it... but it's fine. Visors for driver/passenger, and there's this black dot matrix in front of the rearview mirror so the sun doesn't really blind me. I think the reason there's no strip on my windshield from the factory is since the windshield is relatively short compared to other cars.
