Looking for pics of an 07' G35 Sport
Hey guys, I'm looking for pics of 07' G35 Sports (Sedan) for my fiance. If you own one, would you mind posting up a few? Thanks!

A few posted on this site:
2007 Infiniti G35 Sedan Photos
I have a friend who I believe had bought an '07 sedan. Could take pictures of it if you're looking for something in particular. Last I spoke with him, he was thinking of trading it in for an SUV, so I'm not sure if he still has it.

Re: Looking for pics of an 07' G35 Sport
Thanks for the link, that's what I was looking for. I'd still like to see some pics taken by someone here of their personal car just because they are closer to "real life" type pics than the commercial professional ones.
My fiance is trying to decide between the G35 Sedan Sport and a Mercedes C230 Sport. I, personally, like the Mercedes better, but then again, I'm rarely going to drive it so it doesn't really matter what I think, lol.

Re: Looking for pics of an 07' G35 Sport
Go with the G35!!!! Mercedes are high maint and expensive out of warrant. Thw G35 is bigger, and will out perform the C230 in EVERY aspect.

Re: Looking for pics of an 07' G35 Sport
Jason, have you passed by Ray Brandt Infiniti on Causeway? They have plenty of sedan's out there but I am not certain if any of them are the "S" model. It's always fun to visit the lot's on a lazy Sunday so there is no "harassment" involved
Good luck with the decision... I don't think she can go wrong either way though.

Re: Looking for pics of an 07' G35 Sport
I'd skip the C Class if I were you. Not a benchmark in reliability by any means. The new C Class is also just around the corner. With the G she gets a freshly styled, more powerful and better equipped car.

Re: Looking for pics of an 07' G35 Sport
I hear you guys, but this is only going to be a 27 month lease so, I hate to say this but, quality is actually fairly low on the importance list. Looks is the number one factor in this particular situation, and we love the C class.
I actually liked the new BMW 335i the best out of everything, but she hated everything about it, and she also doesn't like the new 08' C class either. I haven't actually seen what it looks like yet, but she has, and doesn't like it at all.
twitch,
one of my very good friends is a master tech. at Ray Brandt Infiniti, and if we go over there, he is going to get us set up right. I just wanted to see what they looked like since I'm stuck at work until tomorrow and can't go over there until Saturday.
She called me this morning after looking at one that her friend just got, which is why I'm looking into it for her.
I found a Car and Driver review of the G35 compared to the BMW 328i and the BMW won with flying colors. They actually didn't have many good things to say about the G's engine. It supposedly vibrates considerably at high rpm's. The only positive thing they kept saying was that it "was better than the previous model" but that's not very reassuring.
Anyway, after Saturday we will have made up our mind. Just doing some preliminary research before I go to the dealership.

Re: Looking for pics of an 07' G35 Sport
Well there's some killer leases out there right now and being that short, yeah quality wont matter that much unless it's just a POS from the get go. Where is this C&D review?

Dookie, with this sort of wisdom, you sound like you've been married for ages already!

Re: Looking for pics of an 07' G35 Sport
The link to the C&D test from the April '07 issue in question is here:
2007 Infiniti G35 Sport, 2007 BMW 328i - Comparison Tests - Car and Driver
As the article mentions, back in March of '04, C&D picked the G35 over the E46 model 3 series. However, now pitted against the E90 model 3 series, they've shifted back to the BMW.
The article plays out fairly predictably. Although the G35 dominates the acceleration and lane change tests, has more front seat and trunk room and represents a better buy, the BMW wins on refinement and overall driver satisfaction which are often of a more subjective nature. However, the BMW did pull a higher lateral acceleration and weighs less which probably allows it to feel a little more agile.
Honestly, if you were purchasing an automatic (as most do) , I dont' know that you'd experience the gearshift quivering issue mentioned in the article as that was a manual version.
However, ignoring reliability based on the short lease term you mention, I'd still lean toward the Infiniti in build quality. I don't know if MB has cleaned up their act, but MB's in the not too distant past had panel gap issues, were rattletraps, etc. Although the VQ might have lost out in smoothness to the BMW inline 6, I'd wager the VQ would be an order of magnitude better than any V6 from MB. The Nissan VQ engines have historically won several engineering awards from various industry societies for it's build quality, smoothness and reliability.
Dook, only way to know for sure it to get seat time in both cars. Unless you sit and experience it for yourself, things the C&D editors mention might not even catch your attention. I'm sure one will come away a winner in your book. Hopefully, it'll match up with the impressions that your fiancee has as well.
