Re: The most recent paint trend - Flat Black

Quick, get to the Batmobile! It doesn't do anything for me. Maybe at an auto show, but not on the road. Reminds me of muscle cars driving around in primer. IMO, looks like it still needs to be painted. But hey, to each his own.

Re: The most recent paint trend - Flat Black

For me, it depends on the car. On the Rolls and the SLR, I really like it. However, on a daily driver type car, no way. I would get it if I could afford the right car and the proper way to keep it looking great.

Re: The most recent paint trend - Flat Black

I think it would look cool on an older car, say an 85 Monte Carlo SS thats been slammed on 18s. I still wouldn't do it, but it looks cool on certain cars.

Re: The most recent paint trend - Flat Black

It looks awesome, flat black has always been a great "Kustom Car" color and if it needs to be explained to you, then you won't get it anyway.

I really like the look on certain cars, it makes them seem more industrial.

Re: The most recent paint trend - Flat Black

I absolutely love the look of flat black. That rolls looks killer done up like that. In fact there are some guys on Ferrarichat who are getting some Enzos painted flat black and I'm all for it.

Re: The most recent paint trend - Flat Black

It really reminds me of the Batmobile. IMO, it doesn't suit every car.
