Re: 2008 Altima Coupe

Well, the original post was edited.

In a nicer way of saying it, the new Altima has no character. That's it.

It's ugly and lol-wheel drive. Why? I just can't see it being a competitor to the G35, only possibly to a three-year old G35 coupe when a secretary is looking for a "stylish" ride.

The Altima has styling, not style.

Re: 2008 Altima Coupe

They're going to sell a ton of them things. G35 looks at Altima prices. I see the aftermarket being huge for that car and envision ricers putting Skyline badges on that. Unfortunate? Yes. Nissan just wants sales and they'll get 'em.

Nice car, but I wouldn't buy one personally. I, like many here, prefer RWD in any performance coupe or sedan i consider. One reason I stayed away from Acura. I don't foresee these taking away from G35 sales. As already mentioned, those shoppers will be cross-shopping with Lexus, BMW, Benz and perhaps Audi.

agreed. a drop with some nice rims, different grill and de-badged, it would look pretty clean..

Yeah, I agree with that. It needs a more agressive stance and some Enkei wheels on there. I think they should have made the wheel arches a lot more flared to make it look more sporty.

Re: 2008 Altima Coupe

i'm personally not convinced they will sell a ton of them. in that price and performance range, a v6 fwd coupe is a tough sell. look at gm they've all but stopped making a car in that platform. dealers can give away monte carlos.

Re: 2008 Altima Coupe

The local Nissan store has one. It's a damn nice car and it has it's place.

I have chuckle at those looking down on the Altima coupe because it is FWD. If it were an Audi coupe, some of the same people would be drooling over it.

The question is...

If someone asked you to detail it, would you turn it down?

e'nuff said!
