I hate going anymore. I usually won't go unless I get free tickets and feel like fighting thousands of people. LOL Then I end up going and swearing never to go back again.

However, I can't wait for the boat show and autorama! LOL

Re: Detroit Auto Show

Performance World in Toronto (March 9-11 '07) is where it's at. There's pics in my Supermotors account in my signature from '05 and '06.

Tons of custom cars, hot rods, muscle cars, and for the tuner people, there's also that too (not my thing, though).

I'm going. Haven't been to the show in a long time and I want to go, and it gives me an excuse to get out of town for a weekend.

Re: Detroit Auto Show

Here is a little tip for you guys that might not make it to Detroit often. Park at Greek Town Casino. Take the People Mover from the casino to Cobo Hall. Then when you go back to the casino go in and get your parking ticket validated at the casino and tada...free parking!

Not only free parking but easy parking and no crowd to fight. All of the roads around Cobo will be packed and the roof top parking fills up pretty fast. Oh, and all of the lots charge double the fees for the NAIAS week. LOL

How do you get in for that?

Don't get me wrong...the Detroit International Autoshow is great, I just hate fighting the crowds. LOL

I'm going to look into that for the Toronto International Auto Show. Hopefully, they have something similar.

Well my wife is in charge of all GM projects for her company (headlights only), back when she was just a PM she would gt tickets from her suppliers for free. Since then, I have been able to purchase tickets myself. But I honestly think if you go to either the NAIAS website or COBO's site there is a link where you can buy them online. As long as your in a related industry I dont think they say anything. If you do go those days be sure to at least where khakis and a dress shirt.

Re: Detroit Auto Show

My friends and I will be going. It's a nice short road trip for us (even with the crowds). Thanks for the tip about the casino. That sounds better than our normal system (which is just find a place and walk as fast as possible to COBO).
