safety results?

im looking for safety results for the Jeep liberty. i work for a company that hauls us around in one. they say that since there are three seatbelts in the back seat that means that it is safe and that it is made for three people to sit safetly in back. well here are the specs, on rear hip room=57", rear shoulder room=56.5". so here is the enviorment, railroad work, off road and highway driving reguarly, three normal to heavy (180lbs - 250/300lbs) 30-60 year old men in back. i about got fired yesterday cause i refused to do it any more due to the lack of room and that if we were hit in the side that there wouldnt be any (crushing) room for impact absorbtion. when we get in and out of the vehicle we have to put on and take off our seatbelts in order cause its imposible to put your seatbelts on with the doors shut, its just too tight. the railroads are federaly governed so there are many FRA regulations that they have to follow so mabey that will help. looking for a place to find the answer and looking for feedback. thanks

try this out liberty might not be the exact information you want but hopefully it helps. You can also try www.nhtsa.dot.gov and look up the car you are interested in. Good luck.

I can't picture 3 large sized people in the back of a Liberty. That's comical. My friend's mom has one and calls it "cute."
