Winter Beater Questions

Well I am about to maybe purchase a winter beater, it is a 1995 Saturn SL2 sedan. Drives great, braking is good...engine is a little noisy but it seems to be fairly common with these engines. One question I do have is the transmission seems to hesitate when I start it up but once it starts up it is fine...Any ideas as to what it could be or parts I could be looking at for replacement pricing?

i would have someone check it out.

i know there have been problems with the throttle position signal and the Transmission control module.

although its a few hundred bucks to replace, it would be cheaper than a rebuild
