Lr2??

Has anybody heard anything about the new Land Rover LR2? I saw it mentioned on a few blogs, some pictures, etc. - was wondering what people thought of the unveiling of it. (beyond that Maria Sharapova is totally hot, I mean.) I think it looks like a pretty nice vehicle - that'll be really good for people who live in urban areas that want a smaller car that can still offroad if they want (I think the Terrain Response feature will be very popular). Anybody seen anything else about this?

Land Rover in general does not have a good reputation for being very reliable and dependable as per JD Power and most of the other companies that rank them

I'm skeptical when it I hear companys give ratings (never heard of JD Power and Associates). Consumer reports base a lot fo their ratings on rediculous things. The way the radio is positioned can result in a good or poor ration in "quality"... ***.

I have no experience with Land Rover but a brand with problems more proned with electronics can get a worse rating than a brand with actual mechanical issues.

I prefer to go into webforums and read about the problems owners are having...

Being in the car business I need to keep up on all the competition...I do a lot of reading and research and all I have heard about Land Rover/Range Rover has not been very good....Here at my dealership we see a lot of people coming in now and wanting to get rid or the big Rover for the new GL...Most of them mention how their Rover has spent a lot of time in the shop

I live in Miami as well. One thing that surprises me is when I picked up my car at Braman BMW, they had like 4 Range Rovers in the used car lot.

But like I said., I personally have NO experience with LR.

JD Power is a very known company and I believe the reports are helpful to a certain aspect. However, I don't take it into full consideration.

Forget about Land Rover vehicles. They're high-maintenance toys that's more show than go.
