New toy!

Well.. I did it!

Mrs. Gonzo's Jeep has been paid off since September, my son is graduating from UMass Dartmouth in a month, ands now I can afford to buy a toy...

A 2006 Ford Mustang GT

It's Tungsten Gray clearcoat metallic (when the sun hits it, you can see some bluish purple in the metallic), light graphite leather interior, 5 speed automatic, shaker 500 audio system, the interior upgrade package, side impact air bags, the anti theft alarm system and 17" polished aluminum wheels with locking lugnuts.

The 2001 'stang is my son's car. I am keeping the F150 as my errand runner (detailing supplies, Home depot, etc.) and winter driver ( it's still in excellent shape for it's age and it's paid for ) The New Mustang will be a spring/summer/fall car.

I pick it up next Monday!

Automatic, booo.

Heh. Very nice pickup, get some pictures ASAP. You remembered to tell the dealer to not let their cleanup kids touch it, right?

I got the auto because Mrs. Gonzo may need to drive it on occasion, ansd she hasn't driven a manual tranny equipped car since 1988.

The dealership's "clean up kid" happens to be one of my son's friends... and he is absolutely anal about washing and such... he recently bought his first new car recently and was taught detailing by yours truly.. so I had no problem with him washing the vehicle. He used his own sheepskin wash mitt and Meguiar's Gold Class car wash shampoo to clean it. I also was there when he washed it!

I took a vacation night from the firehouse and put three coats of NXT on it this evening... it looks great!

I have to set up a photo gallery and figure ou thow to upload pics. The weather here is going to be crappy tomorrow and Wednesday, but I have my son's car (the 2001 Mustang) while he is using my truck, so the "new toy" will be a garage queen for a few days until the sun comes out!
