It's very Cobalt-sih. How does this compare with the Corolla.
How tiny is that Liftback model? That one's very Euro-ish.

Is it smiling? It looks like Nemo .
The pricing is very attractive for what you get.

As far as I know, the Yaris is a replacement for the Echo.
Same market as Honda Fit and Nissan Versa.

The FJ cruiser is quite a bit smaller than the Hummer, quite a bit lower cost, and quite a bit more practical/useful (in my opinion anyway). It's also a resurrection of a Toyota badge that's been defunct for many years (and pre-dates the Hummer by a good margin).
If you look at some of the videos Toyota has available, it looks like it will be an extremely versatile off-road vehicle (and with a price starting around $25k if I'm not mistaken).
I may take a serious look at one when they become available.

It's available now
As for the yaris, I've only sat in one and looked around the interior. It's quite comfortable and would be a good commuter car.

I saw a new FJ driving around the other day; it was quite a surprise to see them out so soon (I remember when it was still a concept), and the thing had a definite street presence.

I saw the FJ at the Columbus (OH) Auto Show last month. I was impressed, that's for sure. As for that car- the sedan side shots look promising- very Corolla to me. Too bad I can't get over the front shot- looks friendly like the stupid commercials we all were exposed to when the Dodge Neon came out.

Just FYI, the FJ is a re-skinned 4Runner and as stated above, the Yaris is a replacement for the Echo, though no major parts are shared between it and the Echo or the Corolla

Yes, it is a replacement for the Echo. There is a comparo test in the current Car and Driver magazine, which is worth reading. Then, you can draw your conclusions.

I like the FJ, but I think I still like the Xterra better.
And the Yaris; no thanks...if I wanted an econobox, I'd get a Honda Fit
