POS cars!

Ok, Over the past few days I've been cut off a huge number of times. I don't really know why though.

Just today I was in the right turn lane (for those that live in Nawlins, by Canal Blvd. and Veterans?)

Well this POS little honda with a missing bumper, lots dents, and a different colored door makes a turn from the center lane right infront of me. I'm sure glad I saw her because she probably woulda hit me if I did.

Sure, I had to floor it and come roaring up behind her in my truck. She gave me the finger. I thought that was pretty funny.

The other day I was on veterans, middle lane. The light ahead was red and there was a line of traffic infront of me so I start to brake. Well there is probably about 4 car lenghts infront of me when a teenager in a toyota pickup (yes, It was a real POS too. I think the stereo he had blaring was more expensive than the truck) Well, he cuts from the left lane clear across my lane and into the next lane. If I hadn't slammed my brakes even harder I would have hit him. I really wished a car was in the right lane and would have hit him.

I think I may go to a police auction and pic up a real POS car for a few hundred bucks. Whenever one of these jackarses cuts me off I'm just gonna slam them.

I never see expensive cars weaving in and out of traffic. It is alwasy POS cars.

There are a few other things that happened but I could type all day about everyone that has done something stupid in the past few days.

These ppl just irk the hell outta me.

Pick up one for me too...

Where I live, it's like no one can accelerate fast enough to make everyone happy, nor can you brake late enough to make everyone happy...

Examples: Sitting at stop light, traffic all around you. Light turns green, front cars accelerate away, I'm doing the same but allowing a little distance (maybe 2-3 carlengths at the max) between us, and the person behind me is right on my tail! Always! And as soon as there's a gap on either side, they'll move over violently and try to floor it (but traffic's on either side so they can't)...and it's not kids! It's "soccer mom's" and "sales guys" (in their company Taurus'). RRRRRR

Slowing down's the same thing - you're braking, not tailgating the person in front of you, and you look behind you and the cars are coming at full steam...I always cringe, but so far they've always stopped with about 6 inches to spare. *******es!

So, pick me up a beater and I'll clear my area of the morons...perhaps if enough of us start doing this, the idiot's will get the idea.

What's the quote
"Everyone who drives slower than you is a moron and everyone who drives faster than you is crazy"

I drive in southern cal. and i am just happy when I don't hit anybody, people cutting me off, I just consider that normal traffic.

Get a cop car.

People seamed to cut me off alot less in my crown vicotoria than my in dodge neon.

OMG!!!!

I saw that red car make that turn again today!!! It was the same car!!! Missing bumper and mismatched door!!!!!!!! It had to be the same car. Made the same turn again today. Was up ahead of me though. I really wanted to catch up to them.

Ok a POS truck drive got what was coming to him. I'm going down West End Blvd and I had this POS chevy behind me (Regular cab, all but the hood and tailgate where painted, cracked windshield, and big chrome tailpipes and probably a flowmaster) Well he comes flying around me when the traffic cleared some and got two cars infront of me. Well, I make the turn and he is still infront of me but he is weaving in and out of all the lanes. Well I'm just cruising in the center lane. He is all around, finnally at one corner a car stopped to make a turn and he darted behind me. Ok, all that work and he is back where he started!!!!

Well, He darts back in the right lane right as a I see a little car turn into the right lane up ahead. I drive past the little car and hear the sound of hard breaking and then a KABOOM!!!!

I looked in my rear view mirror to see the POS truck had plowed into the little Honda. Well, I probably should have stopped as a witness but I kept going laughing my arse off.

One POS vehicle down!

First off if you are driving a detailed car the losers know that you don't want to hit them and they take advantage of that fact. You want to see bad driving try pulling a trailer once in awhile. Good grief nobody wants to be behind a trailer so they'll do anything to get in front of you including pulling in front of you then slamming on the brakes. Hey this rig and trailer don't stop like a sports car ya'know. :scared

Once I was pulling a 20' car hauler trailer with another pickup on it and I was travelling down a 3 lane road in the far right lane. I needed to get to the center lane so I put on my blinker (you know that this is a mistake sometimes) and I had the room so I start to pull to the left. Well this jerk wad sees my blinker and races to fill the gap. However he realizes he is too late unless he wants to chew on some trailer so he whips it to the far left lane and tries to go zooming around me. What he didn't notice was that the far left lane was full of stopped cars just up ahead. So I'm watching in my side mirror as he gets up alongside my truck then realizes he ain't gonna make it around me in time so he locks up his brakes and SLAMS into the row of stopped cars. The domino effect musta included at least four cars.

That must have cost his insurance carrier dearly that is if he had insurance. All this because he just couldn't let me merge. Too bad....hehehe

LOL, you guys really crack me up. I used to be one of those crazy drivers wringing out a POS to the max just about every time I hit the streets.

Thank God I bought a new car, found this forum, & have now become a paranoid law-abiding driver whose driving habits will make my cars (& myself) live a lot longer.

Dudes, I was driving my Z06 last Sat on the way to Home Depot. Some young punks in a oles cutlas like a '89 or some ****. Want to get in front of me (we are on a 4 lane 55mph road) they can't get to the space fast enough. I didn't speed up, I'm going like 50. So they are next to me and I look over and all 3 of them are flipping me off. I started laughing. So they get behind me a bit back and made a mad charge like they are going to ram me! I tap the brakes and they swerve to go around me. Next thing I know, the driver has lost it. He getting sideways passing me on the right. I get on the brakes hard. (thank god no one closed to me) he goes by and gets sideways in my lane. He goes off the road and is in the medium in the grass. I looking over as I pass and thinking "how nice are you?!!!" he recovers and makes a B line for me again. I drop it into 2nd and say "see you later aholes!"

I go to home depot and sit in the parking lot for a few mins to make sure that they didn't follow. Never saw them again.

I'm actually pretty scared of getting in an accident with some of these people. They all remind me of red necks that carry a gun under the seat. I'm worried they'll get out and shoot me or something.

That is why I carry the club... I figure if they are going to do something I'll have enough time to pull it out from under the seat and whack them.

I kinda wanna get a license to carry a concealed weapon but I'm worried that some day you'll be sitting at home watching the news and here "Today a Man shot three teenagers after they rear ended his truck"

gmblack3, you should get a concealed weapons license. It probably isn't legal but next time some people do that to you then you can just flash your piece... I'm pretty sure they would back off.

It's amazing...........

....that some of these morons have drivers' licenses. That really holds true on some expressways in Chicago. Let me give you one of my "favorite" incidents.

I was travelling north on I-294 leaving the I-pass (electronic toll collection) Express Lane at the 82nd St Toll Plaza. This plaza has 2 Express lanes. I am in lane #1 and the POS blue Astro van is in #2. I slow down to observe the 30 mph speed limit at the plaza but the Astro decides he wants to get a jump on me accelerating from the toll plaza. After the plaza, he decided to shoot right and then try to cut me off while I was in close proximity to the traffic ahead of me. During that process, he almost ran me into the retaining wall. I guess he felt that he had a bigger vehicle and I was supposed to "back off" I followed him for a few and blew past him when I got an opening. I looked out the corner of my eye and the idiot is trying to stare me down. Then when he passes me after I get boxed in with more traffic, he stares at me again because I refused to let him cut me off. Around I-55, I got a huge opening, and flew past him in the #4 lane whilst flipping him the bird since the moron wanted to stare at me so badly. After that, I did not see him because I was too far ahead and he was thoroughly boxed in with other traffic. In fact, by the time he caught up with me again, I was getting off the expressway and he was doing 50+ in the I-Pass Express lanes.

POS vehicles. Shootboxes, Poopboxes

As you can see in my Tag line, "my other truck is a Fire Engine!

Driving to inspection details, out doing district familiarization, or just out on the road driver training with the probies, people are courteous...they beep and wave, say hello and even pull over to let us by!

This goes away the minute we go to code 3 mode (lights, sirens and airhorns) to a call. I swear that the sound of Federal Q siren, coupled with the occassional blast of an air horn and the flash pattern from the strobes on the lightbar somehow interacts with a person's mental synapsis and switches people from "normal" to moron mode!

They pull to the left, cut out in front of the truck, speed up, tailgate to get through the intersections quicker, sometimes they come to a dead stop in the middle of the street...everything but pull over to the right to let us pass!!!

gmblack3,

You should have gotten their plate number and reported their punk asses to the police. A vehicle according to the law is deadly wepon, maybe they could have been charged with something.
