out here in jersey, it doesnt matter who's fault it is

once your insurance company pays your premiums go up. some companies have 1st ticket/1st accident forgiveness, but if not your bill goes up. So if someone steals your car, your premium goes up. Hit and Run and nj state's and you got full coverage it goes up. underinsured driver and nj state's underinsured program doesnt cover all of it, it goes up. they do this to prevent fraud so someone doesnt hit something, and later blames it on a **mysterious**driver. Or someone no longer wants their car/or cant afford so they hit it arranged to be stolen

<---that happens alot

....but if the bill is lets say $300 to fix but you deductible is $500 it doesnt go up

in that case you would of been better paying it for yourself..i have a $1000 deductible so if the repairs are lets say under $2000 im paying for it because here the points stay on for 3 years, its 5 insurance points

im no expert but i iknow all of this due to myself, my bro and friends involvement with insurance companies

once thing im not sure of is, if i get into an accident and later on the insurance company finds them, the will pursue them..but im not sure if you get you increased premium back...hmmmm
