2005 Honda Accord V6 Coupe

My car is putting out 240 HP but unfortunately it is has automatic transmission. I know I didn't pay for luxury but what always makes me jump is the exhaust note on the somewhat more luxurious sports cars. My friends drive an Acura TL and a M-series packaged 330ci and when they even put anything on the gas, their exhausts make the growling noise that is very satisfying to my ears. I was wondering if anyone has any ideas on what parts I could get to get that deep tone out of my exhaust, but not the ricey loud noise. Also, what part should I get to get a better throttle response?

I added a AEM Cold Air Intake to my Accord and it sounds great and far from being ricey. It's deep!!! I think I added 10 more horses but the sound makes it feel fast. I LOVE IT!!! You will not be disappointed.

Is it an automatic? Any difference in feel when you're driving?

My brother just picked up a 06 v6 6spd accord coupe tonight, and I got to take it for a spin. I liked driving the car a lot, it is really nice, and I was expecting it to sound nearly identical to the TL but the TL is a little more "racy" sounding. Go to comptechusa.com and check out their parts, they make awesome stuff.

On my 01 CL-S, which is very similar to the accord, I added Comptech headers with changing the exhuast mufflers and the tone changed for the better a little bit....try headers, you get a little more sound and power to boot

The Comptech Headers would be a rather large investment. $1300+. I can't seem to find the AEM CAI for my 05' Accord. If anyone knows which store carries it, then please tell me. Any other suggestions?

The best exhaust I have heard on these is the Borla system, makes it sound good! If you do some thorough searching you'll probably find some sound clips. I would also get CAI. Cant get headers though because the stock manifolds are welded on. Both my parents have new Accord coupes, mom's is AT stock, dad's is MT with intake (wish exhaust is cheaper because I buy all the performance parts). The intake made a pretty big difference, but since the exhaust is so quite stock its hard to tell a difference in exhaust note. Just getting rid of all the resonators and mufflers would make it quite a bit louder.

pontman, you should check out a thread on acura-tl.com about some prototype headers for the tl/ac v6 04-06 they tested. headers, exhaust, intake netted 265whp, but he had heavy and big wheels on so my guess is they could hit 270 plus. couple that with the comptech s/c for 300+ whp at low boost and the car is pretty sleeperish till you hit the throttle

I have a 2000 Accord Coupe V6 automatic. I noticed a slight difference in the mid range. It's nice when I'm on the highway doing 65-70mph and I can just punch it. Here's a video clip that can give you an idea of what it sounds like.

http://videos.streetfire.net/Player....2-8ED39BC0C570

Just do a search on google for AEM CAI. I found a site that sold one for $200+.
http://www.autoanything.com/category...d=50359&se=aem

Just search for the best deals and coupons. This was the best purchase for my car without dishing out the big bucks. Comptech exhaust sounds great too but it'll cost $600 + or - depending on deals.

G35stilez will become famous soon enough
Comptech Icebox
Comptech Catback Exhaust

A nice, deep sound, power added, not ricey.

I would, but then I would probably start spending money on that and not my car again. lol I will probably buy his in a couple years, then I'll look into that, but it will just get my hopes up now. lol Sounds like some crazy cars though. BTW how did they get the stock manifolds off the Accords?

no clue on how they got them off, it's a 20+ page thread, i just looked at the dyno charts and a few other things.
