How many have a rain car?

I'll confess (or brag?), I avoid driving my clean car if there is a chance of rain... I have an old pick-up that sees nothing but bad weather.

Who else?

I don't even have a carport.

Guess all my vehicles are rain cars.

I wish I had a "beater". My won't let me because my beaters become too nice to abuse. And then I need yet another car. Here is the last beater I bought:

I don't really have a specific car for rain or bad weather but if it looks bad out then we take my wife's Accord. Sooner or later she is going to figure it out that its because I would rather mess her car up than mine and I'm going to get punched or something.

I do. Any crappy weather and I use the Explorer, my Lincoln stays tucked away in the garage.

Definitely! I watch the weather channel all of the time just so I know if I should take my older car or not. Why mess up a clean car if you don't have to?

I only have one car, when it's bad on the weekends that means I don't have my car out for another week. Kind of a pain at times because I love to drive it but it's worth not taking it out. Trying to get all the dirt off the car after rain is a major pain, I hate the dirty rims, tires, wheel wells .... everything. Just not worth it if you ask me UNLESS you have to. I am reasonable, I can take the train or get my friends to give me a lift. I know some people are out of the city and NEED to get around.

OK, you guys, when I first read this thread I thought "Uh, that's a little much! Rain car!"

Well, after washing the car and getting the wheels polished & waxed last night, a huge storm rolled in and it's still raining today. My car is safe & sound in the new portable carport we bought it. Paint shining, wheels gleaming!

And now, I'm thinking, "I don't want to take my nice clean car out in that!!"

So I'm stuck at home until my husband gets home with our van or forced to drive the old VW if I really need to go out!

So my answer to this thread is, yeah, I guess I do have a rain car!
