Car transport

Well the other day I was driving along and saw a car carrier coming towards me, I always get excited to see whats on it. It was full of VWs and Audis, they had a little more protective film on them then I am used to seeing, figured it was because it was audi. However the car that was ontop and all the way to the front, near the cab of the truck, was completely covered in some type of wrap that had audi symbols all over it. I couldnt even see the wheels. Do they does this because of its position on the truck?

Some high-end Audis come "bagged" instead of wrapped. They just took that into account when they loaded the truck. I'd guess that the bagged one was an A8. The guys at Stoddard Imports have been talking about delivering my future cars "still in the bag".

I would think that considering the position of the car on the truck that the excessive wrapping paper is to shield the car from the smoke comming out of the stacks. I've seen cars at the top front portion of car carriers black from all the carbon that comes out of the trucks smoke stacks.
