How sad am I that I already have a deposit in on the GT-R, and we don't even know the final engine specs, transmission specs, price, or even what the production version will look like. Oh well, you only live once and I've wanted a GT-R my whole life.

Woo-Hoo!! So they finally have a release date for the new S8. But now I gotta consider that they'll probably up the performance after a year so so when it gets flamed for not being quicker than the V12. Hmm....

That GT-R looks like a glorified 350Z.
We always get the crap cars in the states, and we probably won't even get a turbo in the skyline.

It is a glorified 350z. The 350z/G35 are the Skyline 350GT in JDM, so the Skyline GT-R is just another Skyline with a different (and much more powerful) engine. Kind of like a Mustang and a Mustang GT, to make a weak analogy. They said the nose will change but the rest of the car is 90% representative of what will be released in North America in 07/08. Specs aren't final, but right now it looks like 470hp twin-turbo 3.7L V6 AWD. Cheers.
