Road and Track's thunder road.

I usually read Road and Track at work and the Thunder Road- standing mile test was very cool. I checked out their web site and they have video's of the cars. Not as much as i would have liked, but very cool. The champ car would be amazing fun. Where does the Corvette finish?

In all fairness, they did not use a new Z06 Vette, just a standard model C6. In the article they graphed a whole bunch of categories: speed and ET for the 1/4, 1/2, 3/4 and full mile. The Corvette was last in every one, which gives you a pretty good indication of the cars in the comparison! Interestingly enough the Champ Car had the lowest ET in the standing mile at 24.2 seconds, but the Hennessy Viper trapped almost 7mph faster at 210.3!

The only stock production vehicles in the test were the C6, Viper (no, not the Hennessy noted above, an actual stock Viper), Lamborghini Murcielago, and Ford GT.
