I have driven a new ZO6 and it is insane. I would love to have one. I think I would steer clear of the nitrous though.

The Z06 in the video put the nitrous on and then went with the "spray and pray" tune. It ended up burning plugs and possibly some cylinders.

I'd rather not compare the two (not even talking about the '06) unless its a drag race with 60 ft. times and all. They share the same engine technology, but the two are almost different animals altogether.
I like both cars for their abilities in their respected ranges, but it is folly to compare a camaro to the letter to a z06 unless you're talking about modded cars and, like I said, in a drag race.

Awesome! I've got a 1994 Z28 with some mods (namely 383 stroker, flowmaster, CAI, custom tune, eibach suspension), figure it's around the 340-380 HP range - but for some reason, I absoloutly love the new Z06. I love it some much that since I'll never afford one, I'm determined to make my car faster!
Gimme more POWERRRRR!!!!
Seriously though... I'd kill for a C6 Z06. I'd really take it over practically any exotic (short of an Enzo or something).

It's too bad the new Z06 requires 93 octane or I'd be looking to replace my current Z06 with one. The highest grade I can get is 91. Boo.

If that's the case we can't have any in CA! You might want to do a little research on that. I'd have to believe that the minimum would be 91 at the most.
