got into a wreck

Around 5am i was driving on the highway traveling about 60mph when all of a sudden i notice that my side airbags deployed and i was traveling sideways about to hit the highway median. Hit the median spun around and stopped. Didn't get hurt but i was pretty shaken up. The guy who hit parked his car about 200 yards away and started to run to my car. This guy was all like"what happened", he kept trying to say it was my fault and somehow my rear axle must have just broken and then i lost control and hit him. THAT GUY WAS SO FULL OF CRUDE . Anways cops got there and took some statement and did backround checks. Turns out this guy just got out of a club and was drinking. The police officer told me that the accident was this guys fault and that they were gonna take him in for dui. My car did a pretty good job of keeping me safe. But now my baby's all hurt. the rear driver wheel is knocked forward, twisted and all messed up. The rear bumper is all messed up and the front is fairly ok except abunch of scratchs.

Well, now i've just got to figure everything out with the insurance companies. Great, just what i needed.

And i was gonna detail her this weekend too.

Well, i'm ok, walked away so actually i consider myself lucky cause it could have been alot worse.

Bring your car to the dealer, the panels and parts should match perfect and if the paint is black or white or something simple the paint as well will match.

It could of been worse!!! Think of this .......... your at your friends house, you have two beers, you piss them out, they have NO effect on your, the cops give you a breath test and you fail, then you'd be in the same boat as the other guy.

As long as your car has no frame damage and you dont have to pay the first 500 ))) you should be all set. I have been in my fair share of accidents with cars, they are not but stressful time consuming problems. TRY not to let it bother you, everything will be taken care of.

Be careful on the road though, as you can see you NEVER know what is going to happen, I bet 8 hours before that happended this wasn't even in the back of your mind.

Take it easy, your car will once again be pretty, just make sure you make a few visits, like three per week to the dealers shop, I did and it made the guys at the shop put the extra effort into my car.

Sorry about the news....

At times like this, a car is just a car. Sounds like sacrilege, but I'd rather be replacing body panels than body parts.

Glad to hear you made it out alright - just hope that the ******* that hit you gets what he deserves - to be stripped of his 'driving privileges' (for some reason, we seem to believe that driving is a right - it's not - it's a privilege, one that you have to take seriously, and can't take lightly, because you're not just dealing with your own well being, but the well being of others).

Sorry to rant - I was hit by someone who was drinking years ago - and the police actually let him drive off, because he had a PBA card. Still to this day wondering if that ******* hit anyone else on the way home.

Man that is kinda spooky to be in a crash without realizing it has begun until the airbags have deployed. Glad to hear that you are ok the car can be fixed or replaced.

Wow! So glad you're okay.

I guess that really shows how our senses detect things. Your eyes didn't see it, but your ears detected the bang of the bads and it sounds like you did not really feel the collision. Thank goodness for air bags.

Best of luck getting your car repaired or replaced.

How about not realizing you've been in a crash until your shirt gets cut open in an ambulance, and you still think it's a sick dream? Glad to hear you're ok Shinnster!! Always buckle up!! I speak from unfortunate experience.
