Re: honda or toyota?
'honda, mostly because of vtec. such a great idea and design. 2 engines in one. though it does take some getting use to having an inverted pusedo turbo - power at the top end rather than the lacklustre low end\r\n\r\nalso for nationlistic reasons http://autopia.org/forum/images/smilies/brit.gif\r\n \r\n\r\nthe vtec is a sort of anchestor of the old 16v truimph dolomite sprint engine'

Re: honda or toyota?
VVT-i, or Variable Valve Timing with intelligence, is an automobile variable valve timing technology developed by Toyota.

Re: honda or toyota?
Between the two, I would probably pick a Honda over a Toyota. It seems to me that Toyota styling is boring and conservative for the most part.

Re: honda or toyota?
My 2007 Honda Civic is a great car for what it is meant to be-economical, good fit/finish, reliable, etc. No it wasn't bought with the intention of being a chick magnet.
My 2005 Carrera S is an even greater car.

Re: honda or toyota?
Have you seen the Accord V6. Thing looks so damn good, and with the 18" wheels stock for the V6 coupe.
Interior of the new Accord, and Honda in general is much more styling than Toyota. I just wish Honda/Acura would keep the touch screen navi, instead of using the joysticks.

I would also look into toyota for trucks. I do wish Honda has trucks, but Toyota does have a variety to choose from, especially the Tundra. Thing is huge, almost like a ford F series.

Re: honda or toyota?
I gotta throw in a good solid vote for Toyota in Lexus form. I have owned two and put 45K miles between them without a single issue. 100% problem free. Amazing fit and finish, superior ride, and re-sale like you wouldn't think possible. Acura is also an amazing brand but I gotta go Lexus here.
