New Grand Cherokee Paint

I posted this in the wrong section, so I closed the other one and re-posted it here...

It is me or does the new Jeep Grand Cherokee paint have some of the worst orange peel ever for an OEM paint job....I havent detailed one in a while, but I dont believe the old ones had such horrible paint...any comments, Is it a Jeep thing...would I not understand?

My familys 1995 jeep grand cherokee has very flat and hard paint, its a very nice oem paintjob though. My aunt has a new one and it has some very bad orange peel. Perhaps their process has changed over the years. But i belive the old quality was better than the newer.

I was gonna post something about this, so I'm glad someone did. Yes, the sides of the new Grand Cherokee look terrible!!! Every single one I've seen has way too much OP. What a shame. That right there would be a reason I'd look elsewhere in the SUV market. JMO.

How can they get away with this? How can they charge the 40g's or whatever for a jeep grand cherokee limited and put a paint job that looks like a 6 year-old painted it... its just not right, do that many american consumers care that little about paint?
