With gas prices almost reaching the $3 mark for 87 octane, I've been playing around with the idea of getting a more fuel effecient vehicle. internet of fleet sales would be my vote - send a few e-mails or phone calls to the dealers in your area to tell them the car you want. They quote you a price with a few day time limit. It's a lot less hassle and can usually get you a price comparable to others who go through the traditional negotiation process.

this isn't to say don't try to deal, but once you get the fleet/internet price, you can you can go to somewhere else to see if you can negotiate lower. With a few friends who've done this, they even brought in a printout of the offer from a competing dealer and it was matched.
