How do I choose a body shop?

Unfortunatly my mint condition 2002 4Runner has been in an accident. My girlfriend was driving and she is fine, but it has about 6-7k of damage in the front. It will need a new hood, fenders, grill, radiator, bumper and many other parts.

My questions is how do I find a body shop the pays close attention to detail? Being an Autopian, I am very anal, and don't want orange peel, overspray, mis-aligned panels ect.....

How do I select a shop, do I go with a smaller shop, or the one used by toyota. I guess I would need to see the work performed at each shop.

Any suggestions on how to go about this?

Thanks,
Steve

seeing prior work is very important, but try to see the finished cars in the lot to see how they are put back together; in person is better than pictures
the shop should be clean
the shop should use OEM parts - not 3rd party or rebuilt
they should be able to provide a paint warrenty
but most important you should feel comfortable with the staff
