If the Citroen SM was such a bad car, why is it so sought after now? And it was far from the first hydraulic suspension that Citroen offered, in fact they were introducing it into the production lines in the late 50's.

Hmmmmmm - who TF wrote this???
Citroen SM was/still is exceptionally advanced - hydraulic suspension (Dave will know way more than me on this) and a Maserati 2700cc engine
Fiat Strada - pioneered new production technology and wasn't a bad car at all for 1977. Plus yyou got the 105TC/Abarth 130TC
Pontiac Fiero - well I liked it (despite it now being used as a basis for a F355 replica - sacrilege!!)
