I remember reading about that RS8 back when the issue came out in August. The guys from MT dubbed it the FrankenFocus since is ran a 4.4 0-60 and a 12.7 quarter mile as compared to the Gallardo which runs a 4.31 0-60 and a 12.5 qurater. But we all know that Ford is way too comservative to ever make this happen, they are hesitating like crazy on the Shelby GR1.

i think this focus was built to showcase ford racing's 5.0 cammer motor.

Nah, they won't build it. As Hirosh said, The Focus RS8, a 1965 Mustang and a 1953 F100 Panel Truck were built by FRPP to showcase the 5.0L Cammer motor.
