Shipping My car?
I am moving to Germany soon, and I am going to have to ship my car over seas... How do i prep it so that the finish is not totally destroyed by the time it gets there?
I have NO IDEA as to what I need to do to make sure I get it back in good condition. Please help.
Thanks!

Saran wrap?
I've heard that when machines are shipped overseas, they cover them in cosmolene, which is a substance similar to Vaseline.

My dad used to work at a printing company, and when they ordered a new machine from overseas, they covered it in cosmolene to keep the salty air from rusting the machine.
You could get one of those big car bubbles to store it in while it's being shipped. I'm not sure how much they cost...a couple hundred bucks I think. But you could keep using it after you got it to Germany.

If you are in the military they will just ship it in a container. Just put a good coat of wax on it. It will sit ouside until they get ready to ship it.

Is a wax better than a sealant for this particular situation? If so, should I layer the crap out of the wax before I leave it with them to ship?

If you have some SG, put 5 layers on or something. Then top with a couple layers of #16 or Collinite

I had a car shipped in the opposite direction on the Pacific Ocean. The car was put in a container so when it arrived, it just looked dusty. I would take everything out that you can and ship it another way to avoid theft.

No choice in how it is shipped... I just need to make sure it gets there in one nice, un-harmed piece... Know what I mean? I am thining like 4-5 layers of the 3M Show Car Liquid wax I have... what do you think? Is that good eough, or should I use a sealant or AIO, or...????

I would take a lot of detailed photos before shipping in case some damage occurs in transit
