Paintless Dent Removal prices

Does anyone know of a PDR service that charges *per panel* rather than *per dent*? I somehow got the impression that they usually charged per panel, so when I accumulated some door dings all on one door, I didn't think much of it, thinking that it would be cheap to get it all out. But now I'm calling around and it turns out they charge per dent, and since I have at least 5 dings on one door, it adds up to a few hundred dollars.

Am I crazy, or are there PDR guys out there that charge per panel?

I've called Dent Wizard already, and their quote for me was over $200. Should I just suck it up and pay? Or does anyone else have other recommendations? I am located in Southern California: San Gabriel Valley, City of Industry area.

I'm not familar with your area , but I recently had 10 dents removed from a customers BMW and was charged 75USD. Although the price was cheap, the quality was excellent. For 200USD I would be inclined to search for a different company.

When the hail repair guys came through after that big hailstorm last year, they wanted $1800 to fix 150-200 hail dents in my car. So $200 sounds a little pricey, but I doubt you'll find much better.

As far as the "one panel" price, obviously, they have to remove each dent individually, but if it's all on one door, they only have to remove one piece of trim (presuming they go in behind the panel).

4 years ago i had 4 dents removed for 160, around 40 bucks a dent , sounds like about the same pricing, i thought it was pricey and when i picked it up and it looked perfect it was money well spent

I would shop around, seems some charge per dent and some charge per panel. I have seen it both ways. Might be different in your area though. Think of it this way, $200 is still less than a repaint.

I have found that retail PDR guy's tend to be pricey..
Contact your dealer and find out who they use, they may be a lot more fair due to the fact of using the dealer as a referral.

Usually, you get a discount over their per dent price if you have a whole panel repaired. $200 is about the going rate per panel in my area. I'd still shop around though.

Thanks for the advice, everyone. I will keep shopping around, and if it ends up being $200, so be it.

Try www.dentpro.com, dunno if there's one nearby where you live in California. A 2" dent retails for $129.00 and subsequent dents are 50% off. You could probably work out some sort of additional discount for the 5 dents. The one here in Campbell/San Jose is very honest and friendly .

I just got every dent taken out of my Durango for $160.00. 17 or 18 dings...shop around...I paid the $75 per panel before...until I did some shopping.

I know about Central Indiana, that's all I need.

A dent tech comes to my shop, on short notice, and charges ME $50 per panel, regardless of the number (hey, once he's behind the panel, the dents take very little time).

I charge the Client $75.

Sometimes the tech is gone in 20 minutes, and sometimes it takes 90 minutes to decide that it won't be perfect...

Wish I could be more specific to SoCal market.
