Interior Carpets

Well seeing as how I am now the owner of a 1994 Dodge Stealth, aftermarket parts are hard to find. I've tried to find mats for the interior but they were neither the correct size or color. Then I got to thinking that making a mat myself wouldn't be too hard. (Just the rubber on the bottom, glue carpet on the top and sew seams on the edges...)

Now it sounds pretty easy, but I have no experience with this and wouldn't know where to start. Anybody here have experience with this stuff?

To sew them you’d need a special sewing machine made for that purpose. It may be easier to talk with a local upholstery shop and see if they’d do the sewing for you, or perhaps have them make you a set of custom mats.

Yea, I've done a little more research into it and it doesn't seem like a good idea to try lol. I found a number of places online that will do custom mats and I'm sure I could find some places in town.
