Talking Look what I found outside this morn

So look what pulled up outside our house this morning. It's a 1986 El Camino, frame off restoration, plus a few goodies! It sure needs a good bath and polish after a 1200 mile truck ride. The transporter (DAS) provided superior service, four days from Arkansas to LI, amazing service.

Nice looking Elky.

Was the Elky covered during transport?

Too That is one great looking El Camino! When you say restoration, does that mean the drivetrain is stock but freshened up or did someone slip a 502 crate motor in there?

Very nice El Camino. It's done up just right. Although I'm not sure if I like the S-10 Xtreme wheels or not. Still an awesome ride!

Nice looking car! I think some other wheels would look better, but that would be a great car to work with!

There is some work to do, I want to change the bench seat to buckets, replace the guages with white face, hard tonneau goes on next week, electric locks and windows. More will follow.

The engine is a 305 crate with new transmission, driveshaft, and rear. Edelbrock 4V performance carb and manifold and an RV cam. The one strange thing is that the exhaust manifold is stock and not headers, that will change real fast. But I have to say, the sound is so sweet!

I will put it in it's first show either next week or the week after, it needs a good cleanup after the trip.

How cool

Congrats on the new ride.

What will your routine be to clean her up?

How about an engine shot after the detail?

You're wasting NO time in getting her into the show circuit. Sort of like one of those Southern pageant moms?!

Good luck and ENJOY!
