Question for you antique car guys...

1) Have you ever heard of a 1949 BMW Veritas?
2) What is the value on a VERY functional and fully restored one of those? (this guy races it)
3) Is it true that only about 30 of them were made worldwide and that only 3 reside within the United States?

I recently met a very nice man from Arizona on my 7-day cruise to the Mexican Riviera. He and I got to talking about cars, and he gave me a card with his car on it, calling it a "1949 BMW Veritas." I'm assuming this car is highly collectible from what he told me. I just want to know more about his car and I would feel wierd calling and asking him, as he is a casual (friendly) acquaintence.

Anybody?

Not heard of this one personally, rekon your best bet is to approach BMW Germany through the BMW owners club.
