Hi Output LED Flashlight from Streamlight

(There isn't a very approriate place to share this but since it would be kept in the car, Car&Driver seems like the best place for it.)

I’m probably the only one that doesn’t have one of these but I found this LED flashlight powered by 4 AA batteries. The mfr. claims this flashlight will run for 150 hours on a set of batteries. Amazing.

The light is super bright but the color is a purple hue which I wasn’t expecting. It has a diffuser style lens so the pattern is broad.

A few shots:

I picked this up at a fireman’s supply store. I guess Costco has purchased 25,000 of these and it can be purchased there for $20. It’s a real powerhouse and will be handy in the car.

The Surefires are an awesome light. We use them all the time at work. I have several different models. They come in various sizes and the light output is awesome.

Another nice light is the Stinger.

Stinger flashlight

These lights are alittle more pricey than the one you posted on.
