Ticket lawyers generally charge about $79 here in Florida. Either your case gets dismissed with no points and no fine, or they plead no contest and you get a reduced fine and no points. Otherwise you can choose to go to traffic school for 3 hours and you still have to pay the fine, but get no points. You can only choose school once in 12 months and 5 times in your lifetime.

Talking

I once pulled off 80 mph on SR63 when I detailed my friends Olds Intrigue I was driving it back ot his house and there was a straight stretch there so I edged up until I hit 80 and felt like I was flyin, so I backed off, and cops hit that road REALLY heavy. Matter of fact, driving back home there was a cop setting in the exact spot where I started to take off writing somebody up That car has a chip in it with the 3.5 twin cam V6, pegs at 140, its SWEET!

Thanks for the info. In Texas, you can have one moving violation from going on your driving record so long as you attend a Defensive Driving Course. It is 6 hours and you can only do this one time a year. Pretty good deal. For example my $95 dollar fee will be reduced to $65 and then the Defensive Driving Course will run me $25-$35. It's pretty much the same price so it really benefits us to attend these things. Laters

What do you think the fine/penalty would be for 170 in a 70? Got it up to 170 today on a nice open and smooth stretch of freeway. Past 155 mph I became accutely aware of the wind noise and buffeting. The car was nice and stable with light hands on the wheel. Aside from being in an airplane that's the fastest I've ever gone.

you would most certainly be arrested and your car would be impounded..that's IF they can catch you.

Agreed

At 170 MPH, I'd just run from any cops I see...you can outrun them and they know it. Just make sure you park somewhere and cover up your car FAST before the backup gets to you.

I'd just outrun them if I passed a cop. Make sure that you get somewhere and park the car fast. If they get your plates, they'll go straight to your house. It doesn't really matter if they get your plates or not, cause they can't prove that you were driving.

The fastest I've gone in my Alfa was over 240km/h (150mph) on 'S' rated tires!!! I didn't really look down at the speedo that much, but I watched it pass the 240 mark. When going that fast, I went around a slight bend in the highway that I didn't realize was that sharp. Well let's just say that I almost crapped my pants as my car drifted from the inside lane to the outside lane . I've just got a new Sharp video camera, and I think I want to get a clip of a 150+ mph blow-by. I'd love to hear what it sounds like with the engine singing at 6500+rpm.

It's supposed to do 180 mph. It was still pulling at 170 before I had to back out of it.

The fastest I've ever been clocked was 178 in a 40... Although I have seen the speedometer past 195 (Unknown Acutal Speed as the speedos are usually well off at that point). 1996 Suzuki GSXR 750, Stage III Jet Kit, Factory Ignition Advancer, Yoshimura RS-3 Exhaust, Gears and a bad day at work!

And yes, ordinarily I would've ran from the cop.. but this cop was smart... and waited for me to return from the one way in/one way out road. He ended up pretty cool, wrote me up for 103/40 (If you really consider that a break) and no recklace driving... I rode the bike away. Definitely thought I was meeting an inmate that night!
