What car to get?

I plan to get a nice car when I graduate from college in two years, and make my Civic my daily driver. Of all of these cars, which is the most reliable? And secondly, what do you all think is the coolest? I'm leaning towards the Nissan Z or the Z4.

I saw the Mazda RX-8 on the road the other day. The more I looked at it the more in grew on me. I am a fan of the BMW 3 series.

I'd pick the red X second from the left.

I went throught the exact process when i had to decide what to get a year ago. i made the decision to bring the z4 home and i've never looked back. if price is a concern at all, get the Nissan as it is a great car for a great value. but there's just something more that bmw offers. z4 handling is awesome and interior design is decent. the soft-top is one of the best in its class. also, if you're looking for a true roadster, the Z4 beats the 350Z imho. 350Z was designed to be a coupe and i never liked how they converted it to a roadster. another factor that you might want to consider is that you won't be running into other z4s at every block whereas i see tons of 350Zs everywhere.

I wouldn't buy a Z4 right now... 2 months ago, though, BMW gave out $5000 dealer cash. Perhaps wait till the year is over?

right click don't do nothin...

anyway, two years is a long time, but nice to start dreamin...
where do you plan on living after graduation, still in WV or are you coming over to the better coast
reason I ask is thing like that are going to impact if you should go for a convertable or hard top.

personally, I like the Z, but that's right now. I'm not a fan of the Z4 or rx-8 styling, plus I think those two will be more expenzive to maintain and modify

For the cool factor, i say the M3!! I'm surprised no one else so far thinks so.. except for Scottwax, except I dont know if that choice was by accident, given that the pictures didnt work for him

Heh yeah I know it's a little ways off, I guess it is kind of like dreaming. But it'll come quick though, boy does time fly.
medic, yeah the hardtop/softtop is something to consider. I plan to live in WV because I can buy a killer house for a good price, but am going to commute to the D.C. area with my beater Civic. But I plan to drive my weekend warrior around WV mostly. I am really leaning towards a hard top personally, I never liked the clash of the color of the soft top and the color of the paint, plus I don't like how it's not very safe from theft. This is a huge reason why I'm leaning towards the Nissan. But yeah I really love the M3 too!

Interestingly, my friend was telling me that driving a Nissan Z is not very exhilarating. He also mentined that it takes off really slow. I dunno though, it looks fast for what that's worth.

Cool factor??? No question in my mind...the 6 series. However, price wise this is by far the most expensive, even much more than the M3.
