Hummer H2 Horror Stories
Hi everyone,
As much as many may like these things (I do), fact is...they are no where near as strong as the H1. Please use this thread to mention or link horror stories about the Hummer H2.
I am doing a project on Hummer vs. Jeep, more specifically the H2 vs. Grand Cherokee, and would like to hear all the stories out there. I know there are plenty .
Thanks!

There was a link on here recently to a vid clip called 'killed it' where the H2 tries to crawl over some rocks and it breaks its outter tie rod (from what it looks like). SNAP!
Run a search, I think it was in the Hot Tub!
Yup, couldn't agree more, like the H2 but LOOOOOOOOOOOVE the H1!!!

There was a story a while ago with pics of this lady in an H2 taking her family for a ride at 3am. She sees part of a school is under construction and figures she can go off-roading. She breaks through cable barriers and proceeds to hit a 1' dirt curb at 40mph. She was trying to jump a statue because she "Saw it on tv." Needless to say, she crashed into the base of the statue and messed up the truck.

I'd rather own 1/2 of a Grand Cherokee than 2 hummers (h2s)
The H2 IMHO is a glorified overpriced suburban for rich people who enjoy showing off and sucking up our precious natural resources to fuel their egos.
End of rant

I agree, isn't the H2 built off the yukon platform (or some other soccer mom/people hauler vehicle) with just some new body pannels, more weight, and virtually the same engine.

blkZ28Conv lives near the worst H2 horror story. Hummers can run over curbs and break down off road and suck up gas, but this beats all:
Black shiny H2 in Roanoke, VA. An always-clean 4x4 is bad enough. The personalized license plate? "LAWYER."
The horror...

The H2 is based off the Avalanche. Its basically an Avalanche in Hummer clothing, a wanna-be!!

Okay...I have to comment...that is by far the most ghetto @ss ride I've ever seen. It looks like something you'd see on MTV Cribs when they visit either:
a. rap star
b. nfl player
c. nba player
Any of which have way too much money on their hands. In their defense, I guess I'm not sure what else they'd spend their millions on...
Some may or may not agree with me, but this obsession with trying to put the largest set of wheels possible on a vehicle starts bordering on the verge of looking like a clown car.
Anyway, to each their own.
