It's not really new-new. It adds some nice touches that make it a little better than last years. The interior is a bit of an improvement. I like the new front end too. I would get a mazda 3 though, I like them a little more.

You know they are not to bad of a car. They drive/ride good and will last forever. I am not to big on the looks, they look good but not great just so-so to me. As Corey Bit Spank said the front looks good but I still like something to stand out a little more. I guess I am not to practical when it comes to vehicles, just look what I am driving about as unpractical as you can get.
The one I do like they are a little more of the green stuff but based on the same platform as the accord, the Acura TL that is a good looking car with some impressive features to go with it. For $33,000 you can't beat it in the price range.
Just on persons opinion.

i have on 03 4dr civic. its a nice car, back seat is kinda tight. the flat foor helps. the trunk is a good size, and the motor has a lot of plastic coverings so its looks good if 303 every month car is not fast or doesnt have much power, the 5spd helps. i dont drive it like a lunatic because frankly if i wanted a fast car, i wouldn't of got a 4dr civic.its definelty a keeper, cheap to maintain, good on gas, and we be put to beater duty when i finally get my mustang.that will have to wait, got to move out first

I was looking at one parked on the street and was really impressed by it. The new look is really nice. If I were in the market for a compact car, I'd probably get the Mazda 3 or a Toyota Corolla. They seem a bit more luxurious than the Civic.

I saw this one on the road, and it looked alot better than the previous model. I also like this new dark graphite color.

It's okay - a nicely engineered, safe car with good ergonomics, but it shows its age. There's some new competition you should consider, including the Hyundai Elantra ($4000 less) or the Mazda 3 (more sophistication), both which may suit you better depending on your needs. The Elantra isn't as high tech, but it's more comfortable, easy to drive, and practical. The 3 is European flavored with trendy styling and sport-biased driving dynamics, but it's on the expensive side.

For a beater, commuter, or college car, these are great cars, gas efficient and reliable. They are pretty slow; the 5 speed helps a tiny bit. I got an 03 Civic when the 04's were about to come out because I saved bunch of money. They are identical, except for a different front end treatment, rear bumper, and different alloy wheels.
If you are looking for an economy car, i would just get the cheaper more reliable Civic. If you want more power or sport, don't shop for an economy car.

A Civic is a Civic...you'll get great reliability and gas mileage at an affordable price and that's about it. Its all they're designed for.

It aint that great compared to last year or my 2002 ex 5 spd coupe. Just changed the front end, rims, and dash. The center console isn't moveable either like my 2002 ex. But, its a honda, and its a good quality car. Only complaint i have is the damn clutch pedal skeak that never stops(radio solves that) and I wish the suspension was all double wishbone like the 6th gen civics.

oh, btw, my ex gets about 34-35 in the winter, and sometimes 37-39 in the summer(on syn oil), so its definitely a great car for economy, but its only a fun car if you get the 5 spd.

at the time i bought my civic, it was the best deal. 5 spd was a must being that my last was an integra(which i lost in a hit and run accident) the elantra is a nice looking car, but i worry bout resale value. the mazda 3 wasnt out yet, for some reason though i expect the starting target price will climb on that car. mazda says they will start at 14,200 but i see them going to 16k imo.i didnt like the corolla, but that is a solidly built car. i test drove the protege but the clutch or the shifting was not to my liking. i actually wanted the protege 5 but couldnt cough up so much. i really like the protege 5--- the civic si i didnt even look at....not a big fan, and afraid that soon those si will be stolen.
