Ha ha! I knew where the cops sit, but this guy didn't!

About a year ago, a new freeway opened up that links 183 and 635 in Dallas, and saves those of us in the mid cities about 5-6 miles of driving into north Dallas, not to mention not having to deal with a whole lot of traffic since so few people use 161/190, probably because the last 3 miles is a toll road and they charge 75 cents. Worth it to me though.

Anyway, the speed limit is 60, which is way too low for such a lightly traveled divided highway, making it perfect for speed enforcement. I regularly use this road, but those who don't get nailed constantly....like this guy!

BTW, Dallas people-I haven't seen the cops on the 190 (tollroad) section, but the Irving Police sit under the overpasses on 161. Heads up!

LOL! Great footage Scott!

Cops are getting smarter and smarter with their techniques. My Valentine 1 is almost useless in NY now...The cops have found such incredible hiding spots, unmarked cars, etc, etc and you just have to take it easy. Accidents are down though, which is good.

I hate speed enforcement here in my part of Houston!! It seems I or my friends are always (not always, just the times it's happened...) getting pulled over at the worst times on the worst roads. I mean at like times when there is few to no people on the road on wide open roads away from pedestrians or other speeding hazards. I'm not saying I'm a speed demon, but I mean, I go by what the road I'm driving on dictates. Some roads here are marked at 30 when they could easily be 45 or higher... not like anyone is going to go 30 on a wide open, straignt, one way, two lane road anyway...

That is good to hear, but this road would be just as safe if the speed limit was 70-80. Very light traffic, straight road, and it is nearly new. Of course, if the speed limit was more reasonable, the cops couldn't issue as many tickets.

I'm all for sensible traffic law enforcement, but not as a source of revenue.

Luckily, there is a law in Texas that limits how much of a city's revenues can come from traffic fines.
