Wheel Clearcoat MIA

Since I have a writing sample to complete, I was detailing my wheels and throwing another layer of Finish 2000 on them (you can't give crappy sealants to the homeless). For some reason, this has eluded me until now--the clearcoat is gone on two of the four oem alloys. This was the assumption, as two wheels are very slick and two have many tiny pockmarks making them feel sticky. Question, I'm not sure how this happened, but is there some way to restore the slick feeling of the still-clearcoated wheels? It isn't worth taking a picture of it because it is very difficult to notice, even in person. I would guess it is 98% tactile and 2% visual.
