Well besides loving to see my cars clean I do plan on keeping them for a long time.
I have a 2002 Explorer XLT with leather seating and a V8 on it, the other is a 2003 Suzuki XL7 Limited.
With Autopian type of care how long do you say I can keep them for?
And you what do you drive and its life expectancy?
Who is driving the oldest? No rust allowed this is Autopia

Haven't had car payments for 8 years now and as long as it still runs good, I'm not in any huge hurry to get anything new (or newer). My car sits outside 24/7 and other than a slight (now noticable) thinning of the clear coat on the roof, the paint still looks great, especially considering it is nearly 14 years old.

1988 Accord with 117K (but VA-VT trips add up) that runs better than at my purchase two years ago with 45K.
Weekly wash, bi-monthly semi-Autopia treatment.
No car payments and last year's VA state car tax: $2.32. To reiterate, that's two hundred and thirty-two pennies

Accumulatorette keeps her cars for a pretty long time, usually well over 100K miles. As she just HATES the new Audis, she might keep her A8 forever (she says she plans to). She only replaced her last Audi because it got totaled, she thought it was just getting broken in at 95K (still had the original clutch and turbo and looked showroom).

As these are being my "first" cars, I'll be keeping them for a good 4-5 years (whichever one I get "stuck" with).
