Removing the center console from a 2001+ Aurora

Mobius PM'd me about removing the center console from his 2001 Aurora 3.5, so I figured I'd just post it up here in case another Aurora owner wants to do the same thing.

The main thing is to be careful because the wood trim can be chipped fairly easily. I've heard of many a person who had theirs chipped by the dealer. Though, some of them felt the replacement piece had a prettier grain pattern and were glad it got chipped...

Oh, I think the thing about blocking the wheels and setting the brake is because you'll be screwing around with the shifter. It'd suck to shift that puppy into neutral by accident and then roll out into the street clutching wood trim bits...
